Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to RealCruits.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our platform to find jobs or hire talent in the real estate industry.

We operate in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 and applicable Spanish data protection laws.

2. Who We Are (Data Controller)

RealCruits is operated by Peter Thomsen (Autónomo), who acts as the Data Controller under GDPR.

Controller Contact: info@realcruits.com

3. What Data We Collect

We collect information to facilitate recruitment connections between Jobseekers and Employers.

3.1 Jobseekers

When you register and create a profile, we collect:

  • Identity Data: Full name, gender, nationality, date of birth.
  • Contact Data: Email address, phone number, social media links (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), personal website.
  • Professional Data: CV/Resume, desired roles, experience level, languages spoken, salary expectations, willingness to relocate.
  • Profile Media: Profile picture.

3.2 Employers

When you register to hire talent, we collect:

  • Company Data: Company name, address, tax ID (NIF/CIF), website, LinkedIn.
  • Representative Data: Recruiter full name, work email, phone number, LinkedIn profile.
  • Recruitment Data: Roles hiring for, locations, hiring timeframe.

3.3 Technical & Usage Data

  • Account Data: Username, encrypted password, login timestamps.
  • Transaction Data: History of credit/”unlock” purchases (processed via Stripe).
  • Analytics: Information about how you use our website (via Independent Analytics and potentially future marketing pixels like Meta/Google).

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data for the following lawful purposes:

  1. Service Provision (Contractual Necessity)
    • To create and manage your account.
    • To match Jobseekers with Employers based on criteria (Location, Role, Language).
    • To process payments for Unlocks (via Stripe).
    • To deliver job match notifications and system emails.
  2. Legitimate Interests
    • To improve our platform and user experience.
    • To prevent fraud and ensure platform security (e.g., reCAPTCHA).
    • To analyze website traffic and performance.
  3. Legal Obligation
    • To comply with tax and accounting laws (e.g., keeping payment records).

5. Data Visibility & “Unlocks”

A core feature of RealCruits is our Anonymous-First approach:

  • Jobseekers: Your public profile does NOT show your name, contact details, DOB, social links, or CV to Employers initially. Only professional summaries (skills, roles, experience) are visible.
  • The “Unlock”: Employers must spend a credit to unlock a profile. Once unlocked, full identity (name, CV, contact info) is revealed only to that specific Employer.
  • Employers: Basic company profiles are visible to Jobseekers when a match occurs.
6. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell personal data externally. Employers may pay to Unlock a Jobseeker profile, which reveals personal details only to the Employer who used the credit, solely for recruitment contact purposes.

Legal Basis for Disclosure: When an Employer unlocks a Jobseeker profile, personal data is disclosed based on the Jobseeker’s consent and contractual necessity to enable direct recruitment communication between the Jobseeker and the specific Employer.

We share data only with trusted service providers (“Processors”) to operate our business:

  • Simply.com – Website hosting and email services (EU)

  • Stripe – Payment processing (USA, Standard Contractual Clauses applied)

  • Independent Analytics – Website usage statistics (EU)

  • Google & Meta (future advertising/tracking pixels) – (USA, used only with consent and Standard Contractual Clauses)

International Transfers: Our primary servers are located in the EU, but our platform is accessible globally. If an Employer outside the EEA unlocks a profile, data may be transferred directly to them to enable recruitment contact. This transfer occurs only when contractually necessary to connect candidates with Employers.

7. Data Retention

  • Active Accounts: Profile data is retained to support future hiring and job search cycles until a deletion request is made.
  • Right to Delete: You may request account deletion at any time by emailing info@realcruits.com.
  • Financial Records: Payment records are retained for 5 years to comply with Spanish tax laws.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you may request:

  1. Access to your stored data
  2. Correction of inaccurate data
  3. Deletion of data (subject to retention obligations)
  4. Restriction of processing
  5. Data export in machine-readable format
  6. Objection to legitimate-interest processing

Send requests to info@realcruits.com.

9. Cookies

  • Essential: Required for login sessions, security, and payments.
  • Analytics & Marketing: Optional cookies may be used based on your consent, managed through our cookie banner.

10. Changes to This Policy

Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
